.....to a year of homeschooling, that is!
We officially ended our first year of homeschooling yesterday, after switching into a more "year-round" kind of schedule last fall. Taking breaks off allowed us to visit more with family when they were in town, take vacations as a family, and most importantly.....take off Advent and Lent to truly immerse ourselves in the seasons. It worked wonderfully for us, but it did mean that we were in school quite a bit longer than originally planned! (Stay tuned for a Homeschooling Wrap-Up post in the near future - it was quite an eye-opening year!)
We homeschoolers know how to celebrate in grand fashion, though. Our last day of school just so happened to coincide with "Cow Appreciation Day" at Chick-fil-a. What does that mean?
Well, it means our last art lesson was designing cow costumes, of course! Cow costume = free lunch at Chick-fil-a! Check them out:

One more picture, and then I'm off to make the rascals breakfast. I present to you our newest first grader!!
